Mid Day Murder

As everybody is aware about mid day meal incident that happened in Chappra, Bihar. 24 children died and 30 still struggling for their lives.

Who'll be responsible? Nobody is going to take any responsibility. Even after this shocking incident some of our derogatory selfish bunch of people start making ho-halla on political ground.
Is it just an another incident we will overlook and move on and wait for more bigger tragedies to knock on the door. Authorities are providing food infected with insecticides and without maintaining hygenic conditions. Better to provide fruit and juice.

These kind of tragedies can be prevented with strict adherence by following protocols for preparing food and keeping the same in clean environment.

India's mid day meal scheme is the largest school feeding programme in the world. Government have to take strict measures to provide clean, hygienic and healthy food in schools.
Our government has very good programs with huge budget allocation but the biggest challenge faced in our country is how to deliver these programs effectively so that every single rupee spent is worth the price.

According to report, Maharashtra's annual spending on mid day meal is more than 10,000 crore but again corruption and mismanagement has marred down its implementation. After every incident we hear that commitees are formed to investigate the matter or notices served addressing issues of quality and hygiene but again we land up in the same boat.

These incidents makes us realize that we are still lacking the basic necessities of life but claiming ourselves as SUPERPOWER.

In my opinion Cities should have a central kitchen for food preparation and food distribution should be done by hygienically and trained staff.
